My name is Rachel. I live in the middle of a small town, and that's okay with me. I'm not your typical person - I stand alone most of the time.

I read and write a lot. I believe that a good piece of writing should not only hold your attention, but enable yourself to be immersed in another world. I am in no way saying that my writing does this, because I'm not a great writer. But, we live and learn, to be a better writer, and reader of our own work.

Just wanted to take a moment to express appreciation for your fine poetry. You are both thoughtful and literate. You appear to have a more classical interest in poetry -- an increasingly rare thing -- when so many appear to be more interested in the self-aborbing temptation to which this medium lends one. I am surprised -- and perhaps not -- to be the first to comment on your poems. Continue to use the pallet of the soul to paint upon the canvas of life with the vibrant colors of language.
